Thomas Tuchel Questions Wembley Crowd Support Following Comfortable Wales Victory.

The England head coach voiced his regret that the England team did not receive stronger backing from the Wembley spectators during their impressive triumph over Wales on Thursday evening.

Tuchel was pleased to see his side continue their winning momentum, with finishes from Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Bukayo Saka inside the initial stages effectively ending the contest. But, he was not content with the mood at the national stadium.

“With one and a half sessions to get ready against a drilled team and we excelled,” the coach commented. “It could have been five goals ahead at the break. We couldn’t score the additional ones. There was little noise. We didn’t get any energy from the crowd. Our team gave their all to win.”

“What more can you deliver in 20 minutes? We prevented them escape. If you hear just Wales fans for half an hour, it’s regrettable because the squad deserved more support today.”

“I maintain this statement. We cannot do more than being 3-0 in a derby. I would have wished for a greater backing in moments where it gets difficult.”

“After halftime, to cheer us on, there was excessive support for Wales. It could have helped us to recharge, but that’s football and that is it.”

Squad Decisions Vindicated by Performance

Apart from risking a dispute among fans, Tuchel also caused a stir by omitting Bellingham and Foden from his squad. However the decision was backed up by Morgan Rogers delivering another standout performance in the attacking midfield role and scoring his first international goal.

“That’s his style,” the head coach noted. “He is a No 10 and he is fighting for his position.”

Wales Manager Seeks Improvement from Loss

The Wales manager hopes that his team, who face a strong Belgian side in a important World Cup qualifier on next week, take lessons from their disappointing performance in the opening period.

“This is why I wanted this match,” Bellamy stated. “I wanted to assess where we are. Where do we want to go? Who do we want to be? This performance fills me with motivation.”

Injury Concern for Watkins

Ollie Watkins was withdrawn at half-time after clattering into a goalpost and will be a doubt when England play Latvia in the Latvian capital in a World Cup qualifying match on next week.
